I am planning to buy a stainless steel moka pot 4 cup and I am looking at the La cafetiere stainless steel 4 cup brushed copper stovetop or the Pezzetti steelexpress 4 cup. Are both made in ITALY ?? What would you recommend as far as quality . I would appreciate your input and Thank you .

Hello, in terms of quality La Cafetiere is excellent quality. They are made in China though. Same with Pezzetti. Bialetti is made in Italy.

This pot is so lovely – I’m just a little concerned about how hot the metal handle gets – before I buy it, are you able to assure me that it doesn’t get too hot to hold please?

Hello,
I’m sorry, we’re unable to test this Moka Pot in this way.
What I do know from experience is that if you’re using agas hob, if the flame is too strong, the heat will go sideways and will definitely warm the handle up.
If it’s electric, similar situation, don’t place it in the middle of the ring, use it on the smallest available and with the handle slightly out of the circle.
If it’s induction, I wouldn’t worry about it.
